don't buy this card i have it, for new games even at high and not ultra but some games even at medium graphics it go around and above 80° ( i playes Total War Warhammer 2 & 3) on 3 reached 90 degress even , too hot, it seem to works very fine anyway , but on long going i'm sure will cause problems, i'm looking forward to upgrade it to 50 series, dont even bothering for the 40 series

You can drag a file over, i gotta find the link but all you do is drag a file in before you install win 11 and it bypasses it np and allows defender and updates. Everythings been great on my end.

Theres a great workaround that allows win 11 without tpm. It is great and ive been playing black myth on one of these systems. Sometimes.

If they're smart they'll start offering custom fans people can purchase. Like a 3 pack of pink fans for example for $80 or whatever.

My 6800XT Merc I just bought has 3 Display ports and 1 HDMI. I have four 1080p 27" currently connected to the card and it was exactly the same as the 6600XT I removed from the build. Works great to run Eyefinity at 3x1 all at 240hz and the 4th monitor on the HDMI port running 1080p 144hz as the top stats screen.

I just bought two used 6800XT for $300 each in Aug 2024. Both were used for only gaming and include the retail box. Asrock Phantom Gaming and XFX Merc. I am now considering replacing my Silverstone GD09 HTPC case for the GD11 HTPC case so I can swap out my 6700XT for this 6800XT to be used on my 4k 144hz 65" screen w/ 7800X3D&X670 setup.

Yea I agree the stand is 6 inches and a really strong 6 at that. Definitely more than enough and quite honestly if it were even a little less big it would still be more than sufficient 😅

I enjoy how he casually "invented" TAA in his ray tracing tech demo before it was even considered for true rasterized games.

The thing that's really kinda crappy about Puget's "failure" rates is the way l they define failures. Their BIOS settings may not be good for AMD's chips, or various other factors.

Concerning stock price. On one hand there has been a fall in all tech, on the other, usually when a company announces personnel cut, stock prices usually go up. So there are many forces but the results are bad.

I don't see the X parts as a high performance label, but rather that they are a higher bin vs the non X parts. We saw in previous generations 65W X parts notably the 5700X and 3700X, both of which had a x800X counterpart. All of which could be PBO'd to similar performance. It became a common opinion why buy an 800X when a 700X SKU could be made to perform as well. People who wanted the highest binned part available would pay the 800X premium, or those who wanted a simple drop in defaulting to the higher all core performance. Just look at how eco mode generated a lot of interest particularly with 12 and 16 core SKUs. Ryzen 7900 with boxed wraith prism is a direct result of that interest. I'm pretty tired of reviewers who only want and demand improved performance at any cost. This release has shown them as one dimensional, their own testing in games with PBO (unshaped nor optimised) to mimick higher TDPs showed no substantial gaming improvements outside of frequency gains. The wider paths aren't being utilised by their benchmarks for the most part, so it's pointless releasing a high performance part as it'll be doubly disappointing as there'd be no efficiency gains to talk about.

Gonna be a great time to buy 2nd hand 7800x3d once the 9800x3d launches 😨 7 series wont bottleneck any gpu
